If you tried PowerPoint 2013’s INSERT > VIDEO > ONLINE VIDEO since August 2013 you will know that it is broken and Microsoft confirms that there is not immanent fix in THIS KBase article. However you can still embed (ok… link not embed) a YouTube or Vimeo video directly into your PowerPoint 2013 by following this process. In case you have an older version of PowerPoint read THIS post I wrote in 2011.

Cause: QuickTime movies don't play in some versions of Office for Windows

Solution: Add the QuickTime Player to the Windows-based computer Mac osx server torrent.

The 32-bit version of PowerPoint 2010 can only play an .mp4 or .mov file if the computer has a QuickTime Player installed. Download QuickTime for Windows from the Apple site.

Solution: Use a common movie format

If you want to insert a movie in an Office for Mac file, such as document, worksheet, or presentation, or attach a movie to an email message and then play the movie in Office for Windows, use a common movie format, such as MPEG 2, MPEG 4, or AVI.
